Dua Lipa, an English performer and songwriter, was born in London on 22 August 1995. After a stint as an actress and model she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She made her self-titled debut album in 2017. This album reached number 3 at the U.K. Charts and produced 8 singles. They included Be the One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 single New Rules. Lipa has been awarded her Brit Award in the year 2018, as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in a number of countries. Dua Lipa was born in London on the 22nd of August, 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian heritage via her maternal grandmother. It is also possible to trace her relatives back to Peja who was from Kosovo. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. She has a brother Gjin Lipa and a sibling Rina. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who is the leader guitarist and vocalist for the Kosovan Rock band Oda.
