She spent almost a decade covering various sports on behalf of The Washington Post, including football, tennis, and basketball. Nichols has won two Emmy Awards during her nine-year period at ESPN as well as being featured on the most watched shows such as NFL Countdown or SportsCenter, moved to ESPN following 2004. Additionally, she worked as an anchor for Monday Night Football on the network. Next was CNN, and then Turner Sports.
