RosieQueen Latifah was conceived Dana Elaine Owens in Newark, New Jersey, on March 18, 1970. Latifah was the second child born to Lance and Rita Owens. She is most well-known for her social activism, acting abilities, and ability to rhyme. When she was just 8 years old, young when she was eight, a Muslim relative gave her the nickname Latifah which means "delicate and sensitive" in Arabic.
